What is household waste?

Household waste, conjointly called domestic waste or residential waste are disposable materials generated by households. They can be non-hazardous or hazardous. Examples of non-hazardous waste are food scraps, paper, bottles, and much more. Hazardous waste includes batteries, and substances used for cleaning. It is necessary that hazardous waste are handled properly so that they do not cause damage too the environment and to human health. Besides that, household waste can be further classified into organic waste, solid waste and liquid waste.
